Summary: (AU) Adam is having an identity crisis after his newest run-in with the Power.
Universe: Different Shade of Dino - Dino Thunder AU
Adam felt very, very foolish. Also unmanly. And a little disgruntled, too. A lot disgruntled, really. And the smirks on his new teammates’ face wasn’t helping at all.
“It… suits you,” Kimberly said slowly, as though it was killing her not to laugh.
‘Probably is,’ he thought uncharitably, eying her clothing covetously.
“C’mon,” Kira said soothingly, patting his arm. “It’s not that bad. And you look great.” At least Kira was being nice. Then again, she was Yellow. She was supposed to be supportive.
“Think of yourself as a trendsetter,” Ethan piped up.
“Yeah,” Conner chuckled around the fist covering his smirk. “What the geek said.”
Adam looked at Tommy, daring him of all people to throw his two cents in. For a moment, it looked like the new team’s mentor had finally learned that sometimes, the words in your head don’t need to be shared, but then he spoke up-
“You know, I guess Jason was right. I do have a thing for people who wear pink.”
-and promptly scarred the children. Probably for life. Although this could be a good lesson… though, upon further reflection, he was pretty sure the “don’t touch magical artifacts without knowing what they do” lesson was what got them into this mess to begin with.
What happened to the days when mentors chose their teams instead of being stuck with whoever was left or whoever stumbled upon the morphers?
Adam realized his thoughts were wandering… and was brought back by the pink-covered arm raised when he pushed his bangs back.
“Adam, you look fine. In fact, you look more than fine. You look hot. And pretty… in pink,” Kim couldn’t help but add at the end. “And it’s not like you have a choice. The Power compels you.”
He sighed.
‘Stupid fucking Power.’
